Shahriyan Park

On October 1, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening of the new park built in Narimanov district of Baku.
Eldar Azizov, head of Baku City Executive Power, provided information about the park to the head of state and the First Lady.
It was reported that the new recreation area is located at the intersection of Ahmad Bey Agaoglu, Tabriz and Talaht Shikhaliyev streets, near the Italian-Azerbaijani University. In the park, which covers an area of 3.5 hectares, conversation areas, an amphitheater, a tennis court and entertainment zones for children were built, and a modern lighting system was installed. All opportunities have been created here for both quiet rest and sports activities.
It should be noted that Baku's appearance is changing rapidly in recent years. The construction of new parks and boulevards, and the renovation of existing green spaces and rest areas to meet modern standards further develop the capital, transforming it into one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
New rest areas opened in various parts of Baku not only create conditions for residents to spend their leisure time effectively, but also serve to improve the ecological environment.
The new park has been put at the disposal of city residents and guests as another space added to the capital's "green map."
