President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva participated in the opening of a newly created park in the area called "Antenna" near the "Ganclik" metro station in Baku
Head of Baku City Executive Authority Eldar Azizov provided detailed information about the conditions created in the new park.

Work aimed at further modernizing and improving our capital is being carried out in parallel with the creation of green zones and parks. Another such recreational area is a new park established in the Narimanov district—near the “Ganjlik” metro station, at the intersection of Vagif Avenue, Jeyhun Hajibeyli, Shamsi Rahimov, and Nasib bey Yusifbeyli streets—based on the decrees of the President of Azerbaijan dated August 18, 2023, and January 13, 2024.

The head of state and the first lady became acquainted with the conditions created in the park.
In the area known as the "Antenna" section, some buildings in poor condition were demolished. After the demolition, the park area was further expanded and increased to 19 hectares.
The existing historical administrative building in the park area was preserved and restoration work was carried out on the building.
In the newly built park, beautiful facilities were created in a short time for the effective organization of leisure time for residents and guests. In particular, two restaurants meeting modern standards were built here. A fountain was also installed here. This adds additional beauty to the rest area.
Green spaces were established on 14 hectares of the modern recreation complex area, and more than 20,000 trees and shrubs were planted. The park was equipped with an automatic irrigation system, water and fire tanks, a pump station, and security surveillance cameras. Additionally, the lighting system was designed according to the latest modern standards based on a new project. Pedestrian and bicycle paths were laid out in the park, and sports grounds equipped with modern exercise equipment were created for children's entertainment and outdoor activities.
An underground passage connecting the new park to the nearby "Dede Qorqud" park was also built. This creates conditions for safe and comfortable movement of residents.
In recent years, development and reconstruction work has been carried out extensively in all regions of Azerbaijan, including in the city of Baku. New parks and numerous green belts have been established, and existing parks and boulevards have been substantially reconstructed to ensure a high level of comfort and recreation for the population. The newly opened park is also of great importance for further beautification of our capital, increasing the number of green spaces in the city, and ensuring effective rest for people.
