SBR Rubber Granule

Product Description:

SBR granules (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber) are black rubber granules obtained from recycled automotive tires. They are widely used to provide elasticity and shock absorption in the base layer of flooring systems. When applied together with EPDM coating systems, they ensure safety, comfort, and long-term durability.

Advantages:

  • Creates a safe surface by providing impact absorption and elasticity
  • Environmentally beneficial as it is a recycled material
  • Durable and resistant to wear
  • Prevents puddle formation by providing water drainage
  • Compatibility with EPDM and other elastic coatings

Areas of Use:

  • Base layer of children's playgrounds
  • Running and walking paths
  • Sports fields (e.g., football, basketball, and multi-purpose areas)
  • Open and closed sports complexes
  • Elastic base layers for safety surfaces

Application Process:

  1. Surface preparation: Must be clean and dry.
  2. Mixing: SBR granules are mixed homogeneously with polyurethane binder.
  3. Application: The mixture is spread on the surface to the required thickness and compacted.
  4. Drying time: 24–48 hours depending on ambient conditions.
